Mechanical salmon ladders aid the passing of dams, most salmon have trouble with finding and climbing a normal fish ladder so mechanical ones are much easier for the salmon. The salmon are taken up in an elevator like revolving belt up and over the dam towards their own river.

| Overfishing seriously depletes salmon population |

Overfishing causes millions of fish to die every year. A great many of these fish are only about 2 years old and haven't even spawned yet. Which means that many whole generations are lost as a result of the more popular demand. What I propose that we do is have separate Salmon "farms" only for commercial fishing, and make catching wild salmon illegal.

If you really want to make a difference there are many things you can do to help. You can make sure that all your trash ends up in a trashcan and not on the ground. Thousands of fish die every year from eating or getting caught in the trash that we produce, we need to be more careful. Next you can help by writing letters to your senators, tell them that we need more attention to go to saving the environment. We need more creek cleanups and a better recycling system.
